NZ's Rubbish by Ofa, Mataio and Zara

This term for inquiry we are looking at how we can look after our planet by thinking about the ways we reduce, reuse, recycle at Panmure Bridge School. For this task we had to read two articles about New Zealand's rubbish. One thing I have learnt is that every year New Zealand throws away 3.6 millions tonnes of rubbish which is taken to landfills. I worked with Zahra and Mataio. We wrote down our own informed opinion about New Zealand's littering.

  2. Kia ora Ofa, Mataio, Zahra,
Thanks for sharing your learning around NZ's rubbish. I am astounded! 3.6 million tonnes of rubbish every year! I think I am pretty good at recycling and I save all of my vege/fruit scraps for my nieces rabbits. I try very hard to take my own bags to the supermarket and to use containers for my food rather than bags and glad wrap. Since learning about NZ's rubbish problem, have you changed any of the things you do at schools and home?
    Tania
